Broome’s Latest Medical Malpractice Case

Alvin H. Broome & Associates has initiated a medical malpractice case against an
otolaryngologist at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York for a patient who
saw an otolaryngologist, an ear nose and throat doctor. The allegation in the lawsuit is
that during routine surgery performed to remove nasal polyps, the physician and/or the
physician’s assistant entered into the orbit of the eye seriously injuring the contents of
the orbit including the nerves and muscles which control the eye. The damage caused the
destruction of the pupil, nerve damage, disfigurement, and permanent loss of vision.
